This mug was hand thrown and trimmed on my pottery wheel using a brown stoneware clay. While the clay was still soft I pressed cedar evergreen leaves from my garden into the clay. I then painted the exterior of the mug with white slip (liquid clay). Once the slip was dry, I peeled off the leaves leaving the natural brown clay underneath. It was then bisque fired and glazed with a clear coat on the outside and a matte white glaze on the inside and fired again in my electric kiln. *Because of the botanical removal and process of creating there is some slightly rough texture that may be felt on the surface.Approximate size: 3.5" across the top and 3.75" high, holds about 15 ounces of liquid.Dishwasher and Microwave, Food Safe.
