Description BioCovers® 157 g/m2 – rolls RootBarrier® BioCovers® is the first 100% biodegradable and compostable weed cloth made from 95% Biofiber (PLA) 5% hemp fiber from the EU. This means you don't give weeds a chance and you allow plants to fully bloom in gardens, parks or roadsides. Chemical pesticides or synthetic ground cloths are a thing of the past. Thanks to BioCovers®, maintenance is kept to a minimum. The raw material PLA is naturally UV stable. The weed cloth is therefore not broken down by sunlight and therefore does not need to be covered. After 3 to 5 years, the plants will have overgrown the cloth, meaning weeds no longer have a chance. BioCovers® has a lifespan of at least 7 years. The cloth biodegrades under the influence of temperature, humidity and the micro-organisms present in the soil. A very responsible, sustainable and organic way of combating weeds. BioCovers® has a water permeability (125 l/m²s) that is 10 times greater than the classic, black ground cloths (fabrics). This will certainly benefit the young plants on slopes and during dry seasons. In some cases, particularly aggressive weeds may grow through the cloth despite pre-treating the soil. 100% protection against weeds cannot be guaranteed with a weed cloth. Avoid any contact of the product with all types of pesticides, especially herbicides.
